Configuring a solar electric system is complex. For many years it's been the domain of experts and dedicated hobbyists. But as solar power goes mainstream, it all needs to get simpler.

That's where we come in.

At Island Energy Systems we offer pre-assembled systems. You won't have to buy all the separate components, wire them up, and worry about whether you've done it right.

We've done all the heavy thinking for you. The core of each of our energy systems is a custom built pre-wired power center enclosure containing all the state of the art components you need to generate, store, and use clean, efficient power from the sun.

A solar electric energy system consists of four parts:

  1. The PV Array - Solar panels on a rack to collect energy from the sun
  2. The Battery - Batteries to store the energy
  3. The Power Center - a pre-wired system enclosure containing the charge controller, inverter, and safety components to distribute electricity from the panels to the batteries and then from the batteries to your lights & equipment.
  4. The Load - The lights, appliances and accessories you want to use.

We'll help you calculate the right number of solar panels and batteries for your energy requirements and location. Smaller systems are plug and play: connecting the solar panels and batteries is just about as complicated as plugging in an extension cord.

Higher power systems need to be hardwired, and should be installed by a licensed electrician and/or well-qualified homeowner and inspected for safety by your local electrical inspector.
